Here’s a look at some of the players that will comprise some of our daily fantasy rosters for tonight:
Jason Kipnis 2B Cleveland Indians ($84,448) – The Tribe’s second baseman is red hot having hit safely in 11 of his L/12 games with five multi-hit games during that stretch. He sees White Sox lefty Danks real good going 2-for-5 with a triple and a home run with no Ks in five career at-bats.
Alex Rodriguez 3B New York Yankees ($63,756) – A-Rod’s starting to see the ball real well hitting safely in eight of his L/10 games, and he’s done his most damage at home where he’s batting .362 with two HRs and sports a .423 OBP. Though he’s struck out nine times, he’s had the better of it vs. Shields going 13-for-41 with three HR, five RBI, and six walks.
Miguel Cabrera UT Detroit Tigers ($82,025) – It’s been quite some time since “Miggy” has gone yard for his daily fantasy baseball backers, but tonight could be the night with him a career .371 hitter versus Millwood (35 ABs) with three bombs and 11 RBI. He’s almost a value selection at Fantasy Feud tonight with the red hot Will Middlebrooks and Cody Ransom asking for outrageous salaries!
Jimmy Rollins SS Philadelphia Phillies ($59,654) – Last night’s loss to the Mets won’t have sat well with the Phillies, so we’ll look to the team’s captain in Rollins and look for him to have a banner night against an opposing hurler he’s beaten like a red headed step child throughout his career; J-Ro’s 11-for-20 lifetime with five ribbies and four walks vs. Batista!
Joey Votto 1B Cincinnati Reds ($75,873) – The Redlegs first-bagger has played second fiddle to the red hot Jay Bruce of late, but we can’t ignore his splits against Gallardo in this match-up. He’s 7-for-21 against him lifetime with a HR and 10 RBI, but most impressive is his four walks to only one strikeout
**Value Players of the Night**
Jarrod Dyson OF Kansas City Royals ($50,893) – The Royals freaky fast centerfielder has made quite the impact since being called up. Those wise enough to have installed him into their daily fantasy MLB roster have seen him rake for a .379 average and score seven runs during that stretch.
Mark Ellis 2B Los Angeles Dodgers ($41,758) – We were impressed with Ellis’ patience at the plate when playing the Cubs this past weekend, and we really like what he brings to the table against Vogelsong – he’s 4-for-8 against him lifetime with a double and an RBI. Look for him to again set the table for Ethier and Kemp (if he goes).
