A loaded slate is set to go on the baseball diamond Tuesday night starting with an AL East showdown between the Yankees and Orioles before the Rockies and Dodgers and Giants close the night out by the Bay.
If you’re still in the market and looking for a place to make your daily fantasy sports home, FantasyFeud.com is one heck of an option. Open up an account today and go to the MLB lobby to participate in their $25 Daily Freerolls (Password: springbaseball) to familiarize yourself with their product. Here’s a look at some of the players that will comprise our daily fantasy roster for tonight:
Jose Bautista 3B Toronto Blue Jays ($69,637) – It was a troubling month of April for Joey Bats owners, but the Blue Jays third baseman looks to be coming around in May with his average and slugging averages both on the rise. He was held hitless in the series opener with the Rays, but had hit safely in his previous three games and is a .357 career hitter against Price with four HRs and six RBIs (28 ABs). Price has been very hittable away from “The Trop” so the value price on Bautista has him worth adding to your line-up tonight.
Eric Hosmer 1B Kansas City Royals ($50,154) – Hosmer’s second go round in the bigs has gotten off to an incredibly disappointing start with him hitting just .174 for the year to go along with a .326 slugging percentage. Still, the Royals are playing some much better ball of late having won five of their L/6, with KC’s first bagger raking hits in two of the L/3 games. He’s 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI’s lifetime vs. Lewis whose gotten tattooed in each of his May starts (7 HR). At this price paired with those results, he’s certainly worth a value insertion onto your daily fantasy baseball roster.
David Murphy OF Texas Rangers ($44,174) – With Vin Mazzaro set to throw at the Royals tonight, you can’t go wrong stacking your line-up with Rangers. However, we’re going to take a stab with Murphy at one of our outfield spots. Mazzaro’s given up 19 hits (4 HR) and 13 ERs over the course of his 12.1 total innings of work thrown at the Rangers line-up. Murphy has just two hits in six career ABs against him, but both of those smashes were of the long ball variety. If you can get some added punch at this cheap price, we say go for it!
Giancarlo Stanton OF Miami Marlins ($79,475) – We’re loving what we’re seeing from Giancarlo of late! He was in the midst of a four-game hitting streak before taking the collar in last night’s series opener vs. the Pirates, and we look for him to get back on track tonight against Correia. Although he has limited ABs versus the Buccos righty (3), he’s hit him hard going for a double and HR to go along with a pair of RBIs. At season’s end, Giancarlo will be one of the costliest OFs to add to your daily fantasy roster, so take advantage of his cheaper salary now while you still can!
Melky Cabrera OF San Francisco Giants ($80,632) – Where would the Giants injury riddled offense be without Cabrera right now? San Fran’s veteran outfielder has been white hot over the course of the last week raking 11 hits in 26 at-bats which comes out to a cool .423 batting average during that stretch. He’s seen tons of Jeremy Guthrie throughout his career collecting 13 hits in 34 at-bats with five doubles, a triple, home run, and eight RBIs. Look for him to once again play a solid fantasy role in the finale of tonight’s mini-series.
