Daily Fantasy NBA Vegas Outlook: Banner Night for Bay Bigs

daily-fantasy-nba-vegas-outlook-february-22-13The daily fantasy NBA Vegas outlook once again had a solid showing across the board with all four players highlighted putting forth big fantasy outputs (3/6/13). James Harden performed 4x his salary by going for 43 fantasy points, while the Turkish Hammer produced nearly 4x his salary with 26 FPs. On the Dallas side of things, both Dirk Nowitzki (31 FPs) and Shawn Marion (32 FPs) combined to go nearly 9x their posted salaries at Fanthrowdown. Fireworks are expected in Friday night’s tussle between the Rockets and Warriors, so let’s dig into all the madness!

Golden State Warriors (-2) Total: 221

FTD NBA-1Trends: The ‘over’ is 6-1 in the Rockets L/7 games when playing on 24 hours rest, and it’s 4-1 the L/5 times they played off a SU defeat. The Warriors have played to high scorers in 15 of their L/21 overall games played, and it’s 4-1 the L/5 times Golden State hosted a sub .400 road team. The ‘over’ is 16-4-1 in these conference rivals L/21 battles by the Bay.

Refs: The crew assigned to this game has produced an average of 193.9 PPG to date, with the ‘over’ 10-11 in games with a point ‘total’ of 205+ points. Each of the L/5 Golden State games called by head ref Tony Brown went ‘over’ the closing number with an average of 217.4 point scored per game. The L/7 Houston/Golden State games reffed by Ken Mauer all went over the closing number with an average of 211.1 PPG.

Houston Fantasy Focus:

No-Brainer Beast Add

SF Chandler Parsons ($7200) Instead of going with “The Beard” here, I’ll elect to go for a little more value at the beast position. Harden’s $2300 more to draft than Parsons yet each has averaged around 34 FPs versus GSW this season. The Warriors have been tough on opposing SGs at home (16.7 Eff) but have been consistently bad versus SFs overall (#23), at home (#27), and over their L/10 (#22).

Value Play

PF Thomas Robinson ($3500) Coach McHale loves the rebounding T-Rob brings to the Rockets equation, and with shots sure to be launched at the hoop with reckless abandon, his services will be sorely needed. The former Jayhawk enters off getting neatly 28 minutes of court time in which he went for 18 FPs. With GSW allowing a whopping 31.5 Eff to opposing PFs over its L/10 games, look for Robinson to play a huge role in this one!

Golden State Fantasy Focus:

No-Brainer Beast Add

PF David Lee ($8300) One of the main reasons the Warriors have dropped both skirmishes to the Rockets this season is because Lee has failed to come up with a big game; he’s averaged just 26 FPs thus far. Don’t for one second think he doesn’t know much is expected of him tonight. With Houston one of the worst in defending the position (29.4 Eff L/10), look for the former Gator to finally come up with a huge showing and lead his squad to victory!

Value Play

C Andrew Bogut ($5400) Centers with a pulse have destroyed the Rockets this season. If ever there was an opponent for Bogut to wake from his offensive slumber against, it’s these Rockets who just allowed 21 points and five rebounds to the Wright/Brand combo their last time out. They’re conceding a 27.9 Eff to opposing Cs over their L/10 games which has me salivating over the prospect of the Aussie finally blowing up since his return from injury.
