Daily Fantasy NBA Vegas Outlook: Double D Ready to Explode!

daily-fantasy-nba-vegas-outlook-february-13-13The daily fantasy NBA Vegas outlook kicked off the month of March with some positive results last Friday in Denver (3/1/13) where the Nuggets scored the 105-103 last second victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The recommended beast add on Russell Westbrook came through with flying colors as he went for 50 fantasy points at Fanthrowdown , while my OKC value play on Sefolosha also came through after Thabo went for 34 fantasy points (5x). Gallinari ended up being a no show (13 FPs), but the value play on Corey Brewer was good with him tallying 29 fantasy points (4x). Now let’s take a look at how the Raptors and Warriors stack up for Monday night.

Golden State Warriors (-6’) Total: 203

FTD NBA-1Trends: The ‘over’ is a perfect 8-0 the L/8 times the Warriors battled a sub .400 opponent, and it’s 10-2 the L/12 times they played off a SU defeat. These teams have played to the ‘over’ each of the L/3 times they went at one another in Oracle Arena with an average combined score of 234 points.

Refs: The crew assigned to this game has produced an average of 196.6 PPG to date, with the ‘over’ 29-19 in games with totals in the 195-204.5 point range. The ‘over’ has cashed in three of the four Toronto games Referee Eric Lewis has called this season with an average combined score of 209.5 points, while four of five Toronto games reffed by Michael Smith have combined to go ‘over’ the closing number in 2012-13.

Toronto Fantasy Focus:

No-Brainer Beast Add

SG DeMar DeRozan ($6200) With the unknown availability of Rudy Gay due to back spasms, it could once again be up to Double-D to tote the mail for the Dinos in his absence. He went for 30 FPs last time out and has a nice match-up versus a Warriors defense that’s surrendered a 42.2 Eff to opposing backcourts over their L/10 games.

Value Play

C Andrea Bargnani ($5400) The Raptors big man hasn’t made much of an impact since returning to live action in early February, but I can’t resist giving him a nod in this spot versus a GSW defense that’s been ripped for a season-long 26.3 Eff by opposing centers and a 25.7 Eff when at home. You attack Golden State with big men, so look his way or to Jonas Valanciunas if he can’t go due to a reaction to medication.

Golden State Fantasy Focus:

No-Brainer Beast Add

PF David Lee ($8200) Opposing power forwards have feasted upon the Raptors all season long (25.9 Eff), and even more so over their L/10 games (28.0 Eff). With that the case, I can’t help but install Lee into my starting line-up this evening knowing he already went for 37 FPs against Toronto earlier this season and has tallied a double-double in each of his L/6 games.

Value Play

SG Klay Thompson ($6700) Thompson enters tonight’s spot off his third highest scoring output of the season (29 points), and he should be eager to run up against a Dinos outfit conceding a 19.9 Eff overall and 20.8 Eff over the L/10 to opposing SGs. He already went for 27.5 fantasy points in the team’s first go round with the Raptors in late January.
