David Clarkson has managed five goals with seven points and a plus-5 rating over his past five games, while Thomas Vanek is coming off a scoreless outing. He was also blanked in his last meeting with Ottawa.

Patrick Kane carried a five-game goal-scoring streak, and six-game point streak, into play. Evander Kane, on the other hand, has been cold, and it shouldn’t even be a consideration to start him over Patrick Kane.

Jeff Skinner has rolled up two goals and seven points during his current five-game point streak. Look for Skinner to extend his point streak, even though the Hurricanes traditionally struggle against the Devils.

Erik Karlsson is one of the best defensemen in the league, and he scored a goal in the last meeting with the Sabres Feb. 5. Look for him to outpoint Brayden Schenn, who has a goal and five points over his past five games.

John Carlson picked up an assist with a plus-1 rating in 20:40 of ice time in the last meeting with the Panthers. Meanwhile, Mike Green was scoreless with a plus-2 rating despite the fact the Caps lit the lamp frequently in the win. Look for Carlson to just edge Green in fantasy points.
